Welcome to the 340B Community! As you may have noticed, 340B is a complicated topic. It can be challenging for newcomers to determine where to start to learn program basics, vocabulary, and other key information needed to build a solid 340B foundation. In part one of this two-part series, the moderator will introduce attendees to the 340B program, including information on the intent of 340B, how providers qualify for discounts, and 340B purchasing and billing. A panel of 340B experts will then discuss these topics more in-depth, reserving time for Q&A and networking.
Learning Objectives:
- Review the purpose of the 340B program and its value to the healthcare safety-net
- Define 340B terms such as covered entity, contract pharmacy, and child site
- Outline eligibility requirements for different covered entity types
- Explain 340B billing and reimbursement requirements for Medicaid and Medicare
