Speaker Bio
Elizabeth Karan focuses on health care advocacy and legal work. After six years as a Senior Associate at Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP in Washington, D.C., she founded the Karan Legal Group PLLC in January 2020 to serve nonprofit health care providers, specializing in underserved patient populations. Her expertise is in compliance, transactional arrangements, and legislative and administrative advocacy, with a focus on the 340B drug pricing program, federal grants, the Antikickback Statute, and reimbursement issues. She founded Artemis Policy Group in April 2020. Elizabeth came to Washington, D.C., in 2012 as a Winston Health Policy Fellow where she learned firsthand the process of drafting and developing federal legislation. She earned her J.D. and Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota and her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She currently splits her time between Minneapolis and Washington, D.C, and is admitted to practice law in Minnesota and D.C.
